Print some more LBJ MVP t-shirts…

It’s pretty easy to make a case for LeBron’s MVP award this year if you look at the stats.

But, as LeBron James’ entire career has demonstrated, it’s not just about the stats.  Let’s look at some of the other top performers around the league and add a little context to the discussion:

Chris Paul – he dragged the sorry-ass LA Clippers to the playoffs in his first year on the team, despite a roster full of nobodies.  In 2011, the Clippers were shittier than the Golden State Warriors.

Derrick Rose – after he went down with a torn ACL, the Bulls went from beating the living hell out of the 76ers in the playoffs to having no chance in hell of beating the 76ers in the playoffs.  He’s a pretty valuable guy.  Oh yeah, and his team had the league’s best record during the regular season.  Better than the Heat.  How many MVP votes did Derrick Rose receive?  Exactly 1. And it was a third-place vote.  LBJ received 85 first-place votes.  So, out of all the sports jerks that vote on this shit, only one thought that Derrick Rose was good enough to get even a third place vote.  WTF?

Kevin Durant – he’s on the Oklahoma City Thunder.  He’s the league’s leading scorer.  And, unlike some other MVP candidates,  he can actually make free throws.

But yeah – LeBron James.  MVP.

LeBron has great MVP-type stats. But don’t you also have to be clutch/alpha at the end of close games in order to be the MVP? Apparently not. Ringless!!

Cleveland fans really are bitter losers aren’t they? I don’t like Lebron, but whining like a little girl just because he left the city as ALL FREE AGENTS can do for almost 2 years is just pitiful. The Cavs have good young players, yet people like you are hung up on a player who is long gone. Maybe if your team was able to get good young potential star players, such as Kyrie, instead of a no D bad PG like Mo Williams or a washed up No D playing Jamison, Lebron would still be toiling away here.

CP3 is a high candidate for MVP, but his team is only the 5th seed. Players on those teams tend not to win the award!

Funny, the Bulls lost to Sixers not because Rose went out, but because Noah went out. If they still had Noah, the Bulls would have beat Philly and probably lost to Boston or Atlanta. I like how you didn’t mention that the Bulls had a better record than the Heat last year also, yet lost 4-1 WITH homecourt in the ECF. I like how you also didn’t mention that Wade was garbage in that series and Lebron was the one who bailed the Heat out. Or that your bandwagon MVP Rose shot 1-16 when Lebron guarded him.

KD is also a worthy MVP candidate, but if you actually look at the stats, do you honestly believe that he’s better than James? Oh, you probably do, you’re just another bitter Leaveland fan!

I hope Irving gets out ASAP! If the Heat get to the finals, are you guys going to make pathetic shirts like the “Cavs for Mavs” one? Or name some sandwich after the team that beats Miami? I can’t wait to see how Cleveland fans will embarass themselves next time!
